Darn it, missed another day. I am really not cut out for keeping a journal regularly. Anyway, yesterday was dead awesome. Mom and I went to the Cracker Barrel to have lunch with Aunt Mary, Aunt Joyce, Aunt Janet, and Lauren. Mom and I got there about half an hour early, because Lauren wanted to see me. I can't believe she's almost seven. I remember when she was just a little thing (though she's still pretty tiny) and wouldn't let anyone but Aunt Janet and me hold her. Ah. Good times, good times. Lunch was great, getting out of mowing the lawn was even better, and the day just rocked.
Today was the first day of pre-band camp. It was okay, I guess. Turns out I'm not the only pit player. Isiah (sp?) joined, since he got kicked off the drumline for skipping practice. Isn't that just great? Pit percussion gets the rejects. He just got the music today, and he practiced maybe five minutes of the three hours before the full band rehearsal. Mr. Baldwin gave me the pre-game song and the drum solo, though I still don't have the faintest idea of where the timbales are, even though Baldwin insists we have a set.
I got to see Sparks, Scott, Thomas, Sarah, and Aaron, so the morning wasn't a total waste. I can't believe I'm saying it, but I can't wait for school to start, just so I can see my friends every day. By the way, Josh is going to be attending Everett. I don't know whether to be elated or terrified.
In other news, I started in e-mail to Jack Thompson, this idiot who's convinced that video games are the root of all violence and must be banned. Once I finish it, I'll post a copy here. I'll also post anny replies I get. Should be interesting.
See ya!
